Presenting the Losmandy-style dovetail plate 300(LDP300)

The Askar Losmandy-style dovetail plate is available in two lengths as pictured above (200mm and 300mm). Each one is sold separately. This  is for the 300mm long dovetail rail only.

Dovetail plates or bars are used to attach telescope optical tubes to mounts. They are also used to attach accessories, such as camera mounts or guide scope rings, to the top of an optical tube. The most common ones are the or Losmandy D style and the and the Vixen V style. The mating surfaces of these plates are approximately 3 inches wide for D style and 1.5 inches wide for V style.

Many dovetail plates have only a few holes and slots for attaching your astronomy accessories. But this high-quality Losmandy-style plate from Askar includes plenty of connection points and gives you many options to securely attach your tube rings, guiding rings, and cameras. The plate also includes holes at the front and back end. Simply thread a M4 screw into each hole before placing the plate on your equatorial mount. This helps protect your system from accidental slipping and damage. The premium plate is made from lightweight aluminum alloy with an attractive scratch-resistant red anodized finish that looks great with all astronomy equipment.
