Sharpstar SCA260 260mm f/5 Aspherical Cassegrain
The SCA260 260mm f/5 Aspherical Cassegrain astrograph by Sharpstar stands out with its innovative design. Featuring an aspherical mirror, this optical tube assembly (OTA) represents a significant leap in research and development, resulting in a more complex production, manufacturing, and testing process compared to conventional reflective mirrors.
This telescope boasts a durable carbon fiber exterior, adding both aesthetics and practicality by reducing its weight. The primary and secondary mirrors come equipped with enhanced aluminum coatings, ensuring an impressive reflectivity of over 95%. Notably, the secondary mirror features a newly added adjustable bar for horizontal movement, providing additional flexibility. The 3″ dedicated focuser, with its robust design and exceptional load capacity, allows for smooth adjustments.
Crafted from CNC-manufactured aluminum, the delicately pierced handlebar serves as a versatile platform for attaching accessories, meeting the demands of both form and function for enthusiasts.
Within the optical path, a 3″ corrector, with a three-element lens structure, enhances the optical system’s capacity for full-frame imaging and effective vignetting control. The two-section thread design of the focuser accommodates popular M54×0.75 and M48×0.75 threads, ensuring compatibility with most stock imaging devices to project subjects perfectly onto the focal plane of the OTA.
