The 1000W inverter model with 760 Wh of battery capacity and the 600W inverter model with 512Wh battery capacity. These devices use Lithium Iron Phosphate (also known as LiFePo4). You can use up all the power safely without damage and will still charge up to full capacity. The devices have 2 AC outputs (220v), 3 12V 10Amp  outputs and 3 USB 2.1 amp outputs for charging USB devices.These batteries have amazing properties such as:

• Can be recharged more than 5000 times, on average if well cared for, these batteries will last 10 years before only loosing 20% of their capacity
• Low self-discharge rate means you can keep them for much longer without them loosing their charge
• Much lower weight than equivalent Lead Acid battery (around 25% less for the weight of the battery itself without other electronics and casing)
• Only maintenance needed is to recharge them every couple of months.
• Much safer than other lithium batteries that have a tendency to explode if abused, also no risk of acid spills like in Lead Acid batteries
• Fast recharge times, using 150 Watts of solar, the larger battery can be charged in around 5 hours from empty. (solar panel not included)
• Higher capacity for same amp hour rating when compared to Lead Acid batteries (typical useable capacity is almost double since Lead Acid batteries will get damaged if drained beyond 50%)

As you can see there are many advantages to these units. But you may be wondering, how long can I power my appliance or device with these Solar Generators? Both the 600W and 1000w units will take you through an entire night of astronomical imaging using a cooled camera, a typical go-to mount and a laptop. However in order to calculate how long you can run other devices, it’s very simple. You divide the Wh rating of the battery and divide it by the Wattage of the device then subtract 15% from this number. These examples are for the 1000w unit:

• Typical astrophotography setup with cooled camera and modest laptop, 1 to 2 full nights of imaging without interruptions depending on your equipment
• 700 Watts power drill can be operated for around 1 hour, you can perform repairs away from an electrical outlet for extended periods of time without resorting to a generator
• A 60″ Smart TV will consume around 170 Watts of power, so can be operated for 3.8 hours
• 500 Watts microwave can be operated for around 1.2 hours
• MacBook pro 13″ will run for 25.8 hours
